Graphics API switches to DX11 when I set it to Vulkan
Every time I try to set my Graphics API to Vulkan, the game launches in dx11 mode after restart. After trying a few times through the in game UI, I tried launching via command prompt with the -vulkan tag, no success.

DX12 launches correctly.

My GPU (RTX3070) is compatible, I've seen improvements in other games while running Vulkan.

Any ideas?

there, as that's their bug reporting forum. There does seem to be a few issues with them adding Vulkan with this update, as with anything new that gets added there is bound to be hickups.
had the same thing happening, can't even change it now so have to use the launch commands for now... strange...

Vulkan and DirectX are not used together, its either one or the other. Both are Graphic-APIs. You decide whether to use Vulkan, or DirectX-11 or Direct-X12. But not Vulkan and DirectX together, this doesn't make sense.
If you set the launch option to vulkan and the game went to dx11, it means for whatever reason the Vulkan API didn't initialize correctly and the game went to the default fail safe api which is DX 11.

The issue is not the game but your PC. I've had no issues with Vulkan other then stuttering as the game loads things into memory which I can forgive since the Vulkan implementation in the game is currently experimental. I even see comparable FPS vs DX12.

Also, if your force dx12 thru the steam launch options, load the game, exit the game and remove the steam option, then reload the game, it should start in dx12 and the video menu in options should be working again.
