quick question, smart vs programable splitter?

what is the difference, i kinda fail to see it, u can do same with both, or cant you?
with that said, all i wanna say more is i could play this game every day, and not play anything else... that how relaxing it is.. i love math and optimization part of the game, exploration and admiring the world, and love to watch trains, trucks and drones transport parts, combat is okay too, but im not here to shoot things, wanna build more factories

Smart splitter is limited to one setting per output, programmable splitter can have multiple.

Overflow and any undefined on the same output.
Sending all collectable items in one direction so you have only one container you have to throw anything in you want to miss.

The real difference is multiple items, to direct sushi line items to the right place.

You will wind up using Smart Splitters a lot to handle overflow and sorting mixed belts, the Programmable Splitters are not used as much and mainly when you want to send multiple items down a single path while sending other items on a different route.
