Also disable "global illumination" this is software only and not optimized, it makes nights really dark. After disabling nights are much brighter.

There is a region called "The Swamp", there it is always darker than on the rest of the map. During nights there you don't see much there, even with global illumination disabled.

Last but not least: Increase your gamma. You can manually enter a number which is higher then when you just pull the slider to the right side.

I fail to see how that is an attack. They are commenting on how the way a question is asked heavily influences possible answers they will get.

I hear ya about the ad homs but we should be able to make fun of this guy a little, I mean he/she has an amount of self depreciating humor which in my family...we exploit.

In your family people prolly appreciate and love each other. Imagine teasing comes over good-humored. I would like this forum to be a good place again where people get help and get to know friendly builder buddies who share the same hobby. Since a while here is too much bullying and toxic comments, arguments ad hominem instead about the topic. fact-bound answers. I hope OP found a solution about the dark nights. In my case disabling of global illumination and increasing of gamma solved it.
