Opinion needed: Fertile Uranium yay or nay?
Here is the situation: I'm currently planning my nuclear power plant and I ran the numbers (a bit aka just looking at the critical and annoying components) and I basically have two options in on step: Using fertile Uranium or the default recipe for non-fissile Uranium.

So for my nuclear power plant I will have 480 Uranium cells/min which will be turned into 14.4 Uranium fuel rods/min via alt recipe. These will create 720 Uranium waste/min and here I have the choice between turning it either into 960 Non-fissile Uranium/min with the default recipe or into 2880 Non-fissile Uranium/min with the Fertile Uranium alt recipe (the Uranium is available for that). As I skip the step of making Plutonium pellets with the Instant Plutonium cell alt recipe all the waste will go into the production of non-fissile Uranium.
Here is the issue for which I need your opinion:
I will go through the whole process (i.e. burning all as Ficsonium fuel rods in the end) so there are a few points that the fertile Uranium part will make difficult. One is the production of Plutonium fuel rods (as I will use the Plutonium fuel unit alt recipe that needs pressure conversion cubes) and the other one is at the production of Singularity cells (which need nuclear pasta so again pressure conversion cubes but also metric tons of copper ingots).
Given the way I go should I really use the fertile Uranium alt recipe or is it better to stick with the default recipe?

TL;DR: I ran some of the numbers and I'm scared.

Standard. Less plutonium fuel rods, less resources wasted on ficsonium.
Or make sure you use a lot of radioactive drones and save plutonium for that.

With your first hypothesis, you'll produce 21.333 ficsonium fuel rods, with the second, you'll produce 64. But yes, in both cases, you're going to need a colossal number of resources.

For the production of Plutionium fuel rods I will be using the Plutonium fuel unit alt recipe, and according to my calculation this results in 32 Ficsonium Fuel rods and 96 Ficsonium Fuel rods respectively (if I didn't make a mistake calculating things).

But yeah, I will need a ton of resources (especially copper for the copper powder) in huge quantities. Hence, why I made this thread.

It's 14.4 uranium
19,2 plutonium with fertile
6,4 plutonium with regular.
ficsonium = plutonium x5
indeed 96 or 32.
Ficsonium might work better combined with space elevator parts, ionized fuel and alien power matrix. Power shards produce extra dark matter residue, that helps you save a bit on sam. But once plutonium gets sunk and uranium gets burned you can tease yourself with the numbers until you figure out what works for you.
I ran into this quandary for just standard uranium - the amount of Uranium required (i think) was too much at the time.

It's all a matter of pros vs cons basically. Basically comes down to what you have available.

Not an easy thing to answer.

Frankly standard is my vote at that rate.
i am use'in 2 of three recipes for make'in plutonium via uranium waste at 2 different sites...fertile uranium and Non-fissile Uranium
Yeah, I think I might just go with the standard one. Though I could just use the fertile one and only use as many Plutonium fuel rods for the power plants as in the standard variant and sink the rest...:lunar2020thinkingtiger:

That would be 12.8/min going to the sink (with the current plan), so nearly 2 million points/min extra. Though I am effectively losing points using the pressure conversion cubes so I would have 256 Plutonium cells/min for Plutonium fuel rods just for sinking with the standard recipe, which equates to 8.5333 Plutonium fuel rods/min (horrible number) so 1.3 million points extra. Hmmm...:lunar2020thinkingtiger:
