ramps and connecting with platforms
Okey I've every kind of foundations unlocked and I know how to make road/railways that go up or down....

But I need suggestions on how to know when to stop going up or down because i'm at right level and all is needed to keep straight level. It isn't easy to see at distance....

Off the top of my head
Console command ToggleDebugOverlay shows your height (z axis) you are standing at… maybe use it to get the height of the platform… and to know when to stop… best I can think of at the moment.
I build straight up or down then when i know where i want it, i place the ramp after.

that works if you are very near

If you're far away, just build horizontally until you're close enough that the height starts to matter. I just zoop lines of foundations out until I get close, then adjust as needed. Deleting and cleaning up zooped lines is pretty easy to do after.
Honestly it would be nice if we had an altimeter (relative and absolute) or something - long range elevation measurements are a pain.

Not a make it or break it - but it would be handy.
I've only been playing since the tail end of 2024, and some might consider this 'cheating', but I have taken to using the interactive map on the Satisfactory calculator[satisfactory-calculator.com] to tell me the altitude of where I'm building from and to, thereby letting me know many 1M ramps I need to build between point A and point B.
