Actually no.
They are the same. Can see that clearly in game.
Then repeat the same with a snowball
IIRC snowball does 40% of the damage. Nobelisk has 50 damage max as base value, hence I estimate snowball has 20 damage max.
In the wiki there is no entry for snowball damage, so this self test is all I got.
Mouse over it you will see its two bars damage rating - just like regular nobelisks...rest is meaningless to debate.
As for the actual tests, it takes roughly 3 nobelisks to kill the player from full. Three snowballs doesn't even come close, though what I noticed in the process is that the knockback on the snowball is way higher. I tried 7 snowballs at once as well but I was way out of range by the time the last ones went off, but given that the game already doesn't say they're supposed to be the same I didn't feel like figuring out what it would actually take.
Ok I stand corrected - but frankly the damage is on par - only less so compared to a cluster naturally.
But at a higher stack - hard to ignore. Nothing to stop me from tossing them while hovering around.
Seem to remember them being the same - they likely nerf'd the damage as well.
