Game closing on startup
Whenever I go to launch my game it will close/crash with absolutely no error messages whatsoever. It usually makes it to the gray loading screen with the game logo and spinning circle before failing. It was working fine literally the other day and no changes to my game were made, via update or otherwise. I've already tried restarting, verifying files, and launching in dx11 with no luck. If anyone can help please reach out. Thanks.

It may be a problem with your Nvidia GeForce driver

There are files corrupted... Look at recent threads to see what folder to cleanup

to be more precise....

delete C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\NGX directory (it apparently is a cache and Nvidia messed up an update) and this fixed it for others (i never got such a problem)

That directory was an empty file folder. When I deleted the folder itself it didn't fix my issue...

Just tried updating my graphics drivers and nothing changed

Using any mods? Is If so, for testing purposes, try removing them all. If Satisfactory at least loads up, then try re-adding one mod in at a time, might help to pin-point which one the cause.

Also (presuming you're on Windows), check in your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\Logs\ directory, the FactoryGame.log might provide some insights.

This fixed my issue! TY!
I have the same issue, but deleting the folder doesn't help. Doing all the -dx11 stuff doesn't help. Neither does verifying the game files. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers.

Works fine on one computer, just started to crash on the other yesterday and I hadn't changed a thing.

Other options??

Just as something to try, a wild guess, disable the Steam overlay in this game, and disable any in-game overlay that your graphics driver has.
Are you on a 13th/14th gen intel and you haven't updated the BIOS in awhile? I'm speculating here, but it sounds like it's crashing during shader compilation. If 13th/14th gen Intel try updating your BIOS. You can google 13th gen intel crashing to read about why. Shader comp on Unreal Engine games hits the CPU hard. Causing the crashes etc. I'm on a 13900kf and used to crash like that, especially after a GPU driver update. I've been just fine since updating to most recent BIOS. Of course...if you not on intel, disregard.

Thx:steamhappy:
Thank you. deleting that file did it. That was driving me mad. All the internet had was to turn off your anti virus... that sort of sounds like something a virus would say.
