Game not loading
Not sure what might have changed but I went to startup the game this morning, the game acts like it is firing up and then just closes. Starts up Satisfactory splash screen, the application thinks for a bit and then stops. No error message. Here is what I have done today.
- Ran the Steam verify files for the game, no issue
- Uninstalled via Steam then reinstalled, but same issue
- Then tried the Uninstall after also removing the AppData/FactoryGame folder as well. Same result
- Tried starting game from FactoryGameSteam.exe
- Made sure my antivirus (AVG) did not quarantine a game file. Nothing found
- Completely uninstalled game again, turned off antivirus, re-installed game. Same result

Been looking on the internet for something related but unable to resolve. Ideas?

I've loaded and played already a couple of time today...

All normal as usual....
Also there's no patches of updates, so no changes...

It just get stuck or it exit automatically?

No, never make it to main menu, just see splash screen. The application thinks for a bit and then stops.

same here - my guess would be an OS / driver issue, we had several posts like that today.

Did you get a Windows update last night? Microsoft recently forced the 24H2 update, and some systems are not compatible.

No windows updates recently. Game was fine yesterday (last night). Will not start today. Other Steam games work fine. Just seems to be Satisfactory specific. I will check for any driver updates.
Must be really something about drivers or system/os as satisfactory last update is over a month ago.

Are you running mods? Check in with the mod manager to see if any of the mods you normally run have updates. While I haven't had any issues lately using mods, I still check and today there was one for Infinite Nudge.

No, not running any mods.
If you have an Nvidia GPU like me, I just got a post on questions.satisfactorygame.com that said to delete C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\NGX directory (it apparently is a cache and Nvidia messed up an update) and this fixed it for me!
Agreed, there was a Nvidia update that came out today which I installed, then rebooted and that fixed the issue for me as well.

We were both working hard on getting this fixed. Looks like we found the same information recently. I'm glad to have the game back. Love playing this game!

Thanks for this. Solved it. Much appreciated.

If you are running intel it's a power profile issue. It's about the equivalent to pull starting something.... Sometimes the game pulls more boost power than the CPU can handle and it crashes.... other times it won't and the game loads. This error can occur anytime between clicking the Play button to loading into your save.

If you are running intel you can either set windows to Eco Power mode or go into your bios and lower whatever power throttling your PC boosts the CPU with and the game should then start without issues.

If you are on AMD... then it's outside my experience and you could try Eco Mode.
