Basic Iron Ingot - A Decent Alt Recipe?

I am just so sick of water and refineries to boost iron output and I do generally leave alot of limestone veins untapped.

I might make this my main way of making iron. Everyone agree?

Most alternate recipes are neither good nor bad. They are highly dependent on what YOU as the factory builder want to do. There are a few exceptions. Like cast screws are a straight upgrade to the regular screw recipe.

There's no "perfect" recipe - nor garbage ones.

Each and every one of them is situational to your circumstances - if it fits the bill - use it - if not - don't.

Question: Why do you want to boost iron output? If the refineries and water bother you, just use the standard recipe. There is more than enough iron out there.

Basically all alt recipies are down to how you want to play and how many resources of what you have available to you in what proximity.
Basically, it is another logistics question.

Basic rule of any recipe in the game:
If it works for you it's good.
Disadvantage of this recipe once you upscale you might run out of limestone ;)
