Looking for my next game
I know there have been other threads about "similar games" but I am looking for something a little more specific. I just wrapped my first, full Satisfactory run at around 290 hours. I've got 500+ hours in total.

I'm looking for recommendations for other factory / automation games that have unlimited resources. I have played Shapez 2, and really liked it. But that was one of the only games I've been able to find.

I also have Factorio and Dyson Sphere, which are usually top recommendations. I haven't put much time in either because the thought of limited resource nodes is super difficult for my autistic adhd brain to get over after so many hours with Satisfactory.

Any help would be great!

Foundry and/or PlanetCrafter are two games somehow similar I'd recommend. :)
Dyson sphere I'd recommend, though resources are technically limited there's a lot out there in the star cluster, and the Vein Utilization upgrade improves the efficiency of the resource nodes so you'll get more out of them. Eventually you can get Vein Utilization so high that resource nodes are insanely long lasting to the point of being a non-issue in a standard run.

There is an interesting older game called Automation Empire and of course a great game - Captain of Industry
Astro Colony, Techtonica, Shapez 2 are some options too.
In Foundry you can have custom settings including resource options. If you like Satisfactory then I think you will like Foundry as its pretty similar in game play.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I think I have many of these already in my library haha. I'll have to play around with each of them and see which one grabs me.

That game... 1st, I should say I kinda like it, but I don't think it's worth $30 though.
The game barely tells you how to play, and it's a lot of Trail and Error, and some of the design decisions are just odd.
Like pipes that connect silos (I'm going to use meters as the measurement) there is a 1m version and a 3m version, but no 2m version... forcing you to do some weird silo configs to get it to work.

That 2m pipe was the biggest thing lacking in the game.

Another game I have enjoyed is Railgrade
You should try "Desynced". It's a nice little base building game. You can (but are not forced to) code your robots and buildings to your liking. You can tinker around with a mining squad (prospector, miner, hauler, defender) and so on and everything is coded by you. https://youtu.be/NZaSe63i7Js

I will second Techtonica. I thought it was a great game and it plays an awful lot like Satisfactory. The ratings recently have dropped because they made some changes in the 1.0 release that made a lot of the Early Access players unhappy but as someone who started at 1.0, I was perfectly happy with the changes and found it a great game. It's got a few rough edges and bugs and a fairly ugly interface, but I liked it nonetheless. It's got a better story and technology tree than Satisfactory. The resource nodes are not quite unlimited by default but you can change that if you want. But I played a pretty long game and none of them ran out so it was an odd choice they didn't just make them unlimited by default. The devs have announced no more work on the game though so you'll have to enjoy it as it is. There are few mods for it though.

Also, I'm a big fan of Factory Town. It's kinda in the middle between Satisfactory and Factorio but it's super chill with no conflict or enemies of any kind. All the resources are unlimited as well although some require some research to make them unlimited.

I love automation games but I tried Railgrade for a few hours and it just didn't click for me. I didn't like that it's got a heavy puzzle game aspect to it where you have to just keep starting over with a new map and throw stuff together to meet some arbitrary goal for that map.
Dyson Sphere is my recommendation even with the new additions to the game lately. Factorio I do not like the old fashioned graphics and I hate bird view games (looking from top down).

Another great building game is Astroneer, Occupy Mars, Planet Crafter, Space Engineer, and also Top Notch is Stationeers

Is Stationeers playable solo? I've looked at it a few times and it looks crazy complicated (which I'm fine with). The level of complication always makes me think that I would need to play it multiplayer to really enjoy it.

Of course it is playable solo. Yes, it is complex, but not complicated. You can do alot of things and you must do them kinda right, otherwise you wont survive or your base goes kaboom :) Great fun. As starter look for some youtube letsplay
