The game is not completed and any fix they do is likely to get broken again when they add the stuff that will take the game to 1.0
Optimisation of any game, including fixing issues, is iterative and will probably be done more to the end of the development cycle once all functionality is added.
In other words, probably not see a lot of issues fixed until they have finished developing the game and have all the functionality included for the 1.0 release.
Buying an EA game should always be done with this in mind. You get to play the game early by buying in to EA. If you wanted a complete game all working, may have been better to wait until 1.0
Well, better get started and write them all down, the disconnect/crash can be on your end too. Or maybe the end where the server is hosted and has nothing to do with game itself.
You're constructing a car. The project is in the phase of crashtests to ensure a safe cabin. Now the test driver complains about the backdoors not working properly: children can open the door from inside, no matter what.
As smart as you are you surely won't finish the locking mechanism until you are sure the backdoors will stay in a stable position at a crash. Otherwise the changes are high that you will construct the mechanism two times and your CEO will fire you because of that, wasting money.
These are project management issues that becomes more clear with more age. Or more precicely: after one reconstructed different stuff about 125'000 times because of early rushing.
Well, that's life.
I'm sure this kind of thing happens to us all every other hour playing this game! While it was every five minutes at the beginning... :D
Whether you agree with their approach or not is irrelevant. FWIW I too would love multiplayer to get some love but it's a choice they've made, so we have to wait.
I don't see any issues with it in U7, beyond cosmetics.
The U8 has crash/disconnect issues, but that's why it is 'experimental'
Even there, I found out that U8 is rather playable if you stay off vehicles.
