How do i get the diluted fuel recipe for the blender?

Finished 7 and now working on 8. I need more power but can't find the diluted fuel for the blender. Is it on hard drives? I've unlocked dozens of them and still don't have it. Frustrating.

You can load your save file into the interactive map, click the Research button, unlock whatever you want, then download the altered save and continue playing from that,

You can upload your safefile on satisfactory-calculator Website and modify it as you pleased (e.g., unlocking diluted fuel). Afterwards Download it again and place it in you save Game folder

It worked!... so awesome. I just unlocked Diluted and not anything else. What and awesome website.

In update 6, it will move to a dedicated unlock in the MAM sulfur research chain, so you don't need to rely on hard drive RNG luck. Note it will still require a hard drive.
If you unlock it in update 5, when you move to update 6 it will still be unlocked, but will not show as researched in the MAM

Diluted fuel IS in the MAM, requiring a hard drive, in update 6, but the blended diluted fuel still shows up randomly in hard drives as an alternate blender-only recipe.

are you guys sure about being diluted fuel move to the MAM from alternate recipes? in sulfur research are only compacted coal and turbofuel but i can't see any diluted fuel.

Yes, compacted coal and turbofuel were moved to the MAM. Diluted fuel is still a random hard drive recipe. Blended diluted fuel (no packaging) is available on hard drives once you unlock blenders.

(Really dumb of me to make this mistake, as I JUST unlocked blended diluted fuel via drive last night)

I do wish the devs would remove the random crap with the hard drives. Like it'd be nice, as a QoL update, to just pick what you want and need every time you research a hard drive. Though I think I get why it is designed with random choices, because when you go out and discover a hard drive, you don't know what's on it. But frankly, I prefer either to give us the full list up to our current tiers, or make the drive unique for each area so you learn in time where to go to get it. It's such a waste of time with the RNG system.

I like the randomness... sort of. In that, it's a nice treasure to look at every 10 minutes or when I remember to go to the MAM.

I hate looking for them though. I gift myself 100 at the start of each game (I start over often).

The reason I dislike the RNG in hard drives, is that the last time I searched for an alternate recipe, it took over 20 hard drives to get it. Bad luck I know, but I shouldn't had to waste all that time on 1 recipe I needed.

well less RNG would be nice, for example devs could still keep current model for alt recipes but also add more research for them, similar to what they did with comapcted coal. turbofuel, polyester fabric, that you also need to submit resources with hard drive.
