Some things you can do to reduce the suck:
While holding E to hand-mine, press TAB to open the inventory. You can now let go of E, and you will continue to mine by hand. Stand up from the computer and go make a sandwich, or something. Come back to an inventory full of ore.
You can place multiple Portable Miners on a single node, and they'll mine up to 100 units of ore each before they shut down. Drop a half-dozen portable miners on an iron node, do something else for a few minutes, and come back to hundreds of ore.
Better still: build a miner, feed the belt from the miner into a splitter, then into smelters, and then feed the resulting ingots into constructors to make plates, rods, wire, etc.
Automate production and start playing the game instead of fighting it.
That's a lovely through, but how do I automate the game when I cannot even play the game for long enough to build something? I don't think you understand the kind of reaction video games who cannot control their camera bring on in some players. I walked over to a mining spot, mined six or seven ore, and had a headache and nausea that lasted for hours.
I can play plenty of other games without this problem. I played both Portal games all the way through, so a good camera can handle significant motion and interaction without making the players sick. This is clearly a problem with Satisfactory unless there is a way to turn this violent camera shaking off.
I know it's a problem with Satisfactory because they intentionally added that violent camera shake.
The problematic activities in Satisfactory are mostly avoidable, although you might need to start a new game and select the "skip the onboarding" checkbox so that you don't have to hand-mine, ever. Portable miners work well, and do not cause screen shake.
If you can't manage to play long enough to enjoy the game, the best solution I can offer is to refund the game.
You are also ignoring the fact that when I was attacked by a creature, my weapon attack also jerked the camera around. From everything I've seen, combat is not the first few minutes of the game. In fact, it's advertised in the promotional videos on the Steam page.
I don't think it's so much a "brush-off" as not understanding the pain that simulation sickness can cause. I do understand the issue with hand-mining, and recommended an in-game solution... skipping the tutorial phase will skip the portion of the game where hand-mining is required.
There are mods that can kill creatures within a specific radius of you, or delete all hostile entities from the world. I believe the mods repository is located at https://ficsit.app
Alternatively, you could play with a friend who can take on the combat aspects of the game for you, allowing you to build your factories in peace.
Are there any other aspects of the game that cause you issues? If not, then you might use the information here to continue playing. If so, then please list them so that we can provide more solutions.

I upvoted the issue on the Satisfactory site.
I've given up on trying to play this game until the developers make the necessary changes.
