How do I place the HUB?

I just bought this game and I'm stuck already. How do I place the HUB? What key do I hit? I see the little black box in my inventory but how do I get it placed?

Build menu. I think I changed mine from the default, I use Q. There should be keybinds on the bottom right of the UI.

The hub will be under the special tab if my memory serves me correct.

The Build menu is "Q"?

You can look at the entire list of Hotkeys in the OPTIONS menu in the game

Hi again. I placed it but it's not all appearing. Only the bottom foundation is there. Am I missing something? Does it take a long time to build or something?

E to interact through the game... It should be telling you this and when used will tell you what it wants.

Building the HUB and upgrading it is part of the tutorial. You should learn everything in this phase while the hotkeys are always explained on the left side of the screen. Just read carefully, the game explains almost everything.
