How rare are these Jetpack Johnnys?

I've played about 150 hours since update 6, and never encountered the fabled jetpack hogs. Until today; right in the center of the map I found two flying kamikaze hogs in a row. I mean, what are the chances??

I wish I'd screenshotted them, but I was too busy just staying alive.

I have perceived the only once in over 1500 hours (started with update 6) and made screenshots he has not noticed me.
I must have killed him unconsciously once before, I found a jetpack and wondered why it was lying there.

They are usable

So far, I have encountered 1 in the swamp and 2 in the red jungle. Never got to see them fly before either myself or it was dead,

of course you can use that have the two now in the box already had a jetpack anyway

on the screenshot, that was in the mushroom biome blue crater is called I think.
and a jetpack I found on the edge of the Red Forest.
But I think that there is always only one Jonny that randomly appears somewhere.

I don't think that's true. Although I haven't seen them both together onscreen at the same time, the second one I encountered was so close to the first, it must've spawned already when I was dealing with the first.

The chance for Johnny should be 1/1000 of the chance of an Alpha Hog. So quite rare, but not suuuuper rare. At least rare enough to surprise players (it's an Easter-Egg)!

Not sure I agree with the odds. There is one of these jet pack hogs in the same place in all play throughs I've started since the release of 6. Not in front of my gaming rig at the moment but looking at satisfactory-calculator.com the hog is at 122,647 / 207,313 or right next to it at 154,299 / 190,602

No way. I was just killing hogs with explosives as usual, when suddenly one of them made a rocket jump(!) and killed me with a collision.
I saw this for the first time and wanted to write about this Easter egg. Opened steam discussions and saw this discussion!

They're rare? Not so much in my case. I've encountered 4 so far. One was in the Red Jungle, another in the Crater Lakes, a third in the Dangle Spires, and the most recent one on a ledge in the Grass Fields. That's after around 114 hours of play time.

They are not as rare as you think, I'd say "Uncommon" is a better word but the are NOT rare

In U7 I got at least 4 in one save, 3 at Grass Lands, and 1 somewhere else I do not remember the location of.
I guess I was lucky then :)
