Shatter Rebar: seriously guy, what's up with that?
K, so, made some shiny new shatter rebar with me lucky charms. Quite nice.

Anywho, the only thing that seems to make a difference is one-hitting the hatchers. Everything else takes about the same amount of time to die no matter how well-placed a shot to the face.

To clarify, standard rebar takes two hits for all, one for stingers, and several for the big daddies.

Shatter rebar doesn't seem to do much more damage. Is it a waste of quarts? I mean, I get right up to the enemy close enough to pick boogers but the darn things won't die much faster than standard rebar.

Being a spread, it's easier to hit faster moving enemies like spiders. It sacrifices range and damage for accuracy

Shatter definitely does more damage, your aim is off or your timing is bad. It can oneshot hogs , 2(might be 3?) shot spitters, and makes quick work of alphas too, on top of oneshotting hatchers, and being able to spray-kill hatcher babies. But yes- Accuracy is out the window, and you gotta be right on top of things to make sure every bit of that damage hits.

It's worth noting that, like normal rebar ammo, the shatter rebar is tracked as projectiles- So it has flight time and arc over distance; So if you're firing at a moving target, you need to lead it properly.
Stingers have glass jaws, anyway. You're better off bashing them as they close. If you're determined to use the shatter nonsense, save it for the tops of hogs you're jumping over as they charge.

Shatter does more damage if all of the needles hit, if only one of them hits you do the same damage as a single re-bar.

You are probably missing most of the shots when you try to hit the moving enemies, but all/most of them are hitting the hatchers.

I noticed the same thing as the OP did. Shatter doesn't seem to be very effective. The devs need to look into this.

Same here...I was so eager to try shatter rebars and then I wondered WTF so little damage?
