also, what about priority splitters?
priority splitters would be a good QOL change. for example: i need more fuel going here then there. you get what im saying? let me know if im wrong on this.

Honestly, they should just add a throughput control on the Programmable Splitter, because it’s not really that useful, as is.
Smart splitter will do that. At least for two outputs. Set one to any, and another to overflow.

Smart splitter, one output with the fuel, another with overflow. Easy.
They already have a priority splitter. A smart splitter lets you give priority to one output over another with the overflow setting.
E.g. output 1 is set to Any, and output 2 is Overflow. Materials will only flow out of 1 first, and only when that output is full will it flow out of 2

What it does not let you do is ratioed priority - e.g. specific ratios per output, or high/medium/low priorities (like the v1.1 priority merger does).
Isnt it in game already?🤨

Try searching - you'll find the same suggestions - same replies - same arguments - same reasons given.

Nothing new here.

1st off, suggestions to the devs should be posted here

As we can't do anything but voice our opinion of your idea.
Also, you didn't really go into enough detail, so we had to infer what you meant.

I agree that programmable splitters should be able to "underclock" their outputs individually and have two different overflow priority levels. They currently don't have enough of a distinction from smart splitters IMO. Maybe some day.

The more items on a sushi belt the more complex only using smart splitters becomes. With programmable splitters you can assign multiple specific inputs to an output.

Ah yes, people pointing out that what you want is already in the game = "getting demolished". I suppose that's true, but probably not in the way you meant it.
More fuel going here than there means you will use a valve on the pipes, and adjust the valves accordingly.

as much as i want to say "but what if its packaged" that is a smart idea.

Valves limit - they don't prioritize.

By limiting one, you prioritize other
