Digital Storage mod question
Sorry if it's the wrong place for this question just hoping someone knows.

Say I've formatted, partitioned and filtered a drive to be for 4 different items.

When I upgrade to a larger capacity drive, PLEASE tell me there is a way to copy and paste the settings onto the newer drive? Or am I really going to have to set it up again for each individual upgrade... It's gonna get to a point where I'm going to have to filter and repartition hundreds of harddrives every upgrade??? Surely they've thought of this and there's a copy paste feature I'm missing?

You will have to repartition the drive since its a formatting thing. Since drive size will be a factor... you can only mirror one to one a drive of the same size and model directly without complications.

Once you got the partitions are set, you should be able to drag and drop everything to the new drives

Check your remapping is the same as shortcut and file links won't know where to look. (Old D is the new D)

Run file verification if you move game folders.

Dragging and dropping? I wish you could set it to filter at 25% capacity that way it could upscale without complications.

The OP refers to the mod's "disk drives": these are not real ones. These are a game mechanic from the mod mentioned, that mimics a real harddisk drive into Satisfactory.

You can read about these mod's "drives" here: https://docs.ficsit.app/refinedrd/latest/ds/info/drives.html

Well now, about the question:

As far as I know, there is no "copy" method for the contents of a "drive". Nor and upgrade method.

Sadly, we need to repeat the process each time we want to upgrade/copy a "drive".

Somebody already added this as a suggestion in their Discord (yoou can find it as "Refined R&D").

Is under the label "Copy drives/ format many drives at once"
