Scanning for Power Slugs?

Hello,

I recently researched power slugs in the MAM and it said I would be able to scan for their power sources (I guess scan for slugs?). Anyway, when I press V and pull up the scanner, I only have the various ores and coal, no slugs. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Until some time ago, you could also scan the artifacts with it and find them was removed but now it is harder to find them.
