Lost some hard drives - is there a way to find them?
According to https://satisfactory-calculator.com/en/interactive-map I have done 92 of 96 drop pods, which means I should have collected 92 hard drives. However despite having researched all the collected hard drives, the site also says I have only unlocked 86 of 91 alternate recipes.

I can only assume I have left 6 hard drives somwhere in a container, crate, train, or vehicle inventory, somewhere on the map.

Is there any mod or tool that will let me identify where they are? I have looked at the save file viewers/editors https://satisfactory-calculator.com and https://ficsit-felix.netlify.app but haven't found a way other than clicking and viewing every individual inventory (which is a lot)

did you perhaps use some of those hard drives to increase your inventory size?

and the interactive map should be able to tell you which items are in a chest somewhere

Pocket dimension upgrades are listed in the alt recipes on satisfactory-calculator, so I did factor those into my numbers. I am definitely missing some drives.

The only way I found using satisfactory-calculator interactive map was to click and view each individual container in turn, but I'm late game so I have many hundreds, too many to search manually

well if you didnt put them in containers you´d only have to click through the boxes

Strange, there's only 89 alternative recipes according to the official wiki.

https://satisfactory.fandom.com/wiki/Hard_Drive

It also says that there's a bug where some harddrives can get lost if using mods.

EDIT: You could give yourself a few HDDs, research them, and see what happens...

89 alt recipes + 2 pocket dimension increases = 91 hard drive analysis unlocks in the MAM (Sorry, should have been clearer)
And I think it was the mod incompatibility bug that did it - Several times I went to the MAM to find it unexpecedly empty, I didn't make the connection that it was happening when I saved/loaded with a drive in the MAM.
Thanks for pointing that out to me - I will use a save editor to give myself the missing drives
