At the end of the game it's just making the most complex items possible and sinking them for points, what else even is there?
They are really good early on, but start falling off really hard once the game starts requiring you to sink a whole stack or more just to get a single coupon. Spending an hour on exploration and killing monsters just to get ten or so tickets isn't a good trade anymore at that point. I don't know why people overrate them so much, it just makes me think they aren't really aware of just how much better some other ways are.
The best source that remains as such for a VERY long time is definitely lizard doggos. They can now give you some really late game stuff, especially turbo motors. Majority of my tickets come from sinking free turbo motors and fused modular frames that I got from them. Just tame a few and check them every half and hour or so, and when you get the expensive stuff throw them into a sink for a ridiculous amount of points. You do literally nothing and get millions of points passively.
And lategame nothing will compare to just sinking the most expensive thing you can make en masse. The most expensive project assembly part is worth over 2 million points, so just make a production like that makes those, sommersloop it and you're rolling in points. And of course supplementing it with alien capsules still since both counters scale separately, so the best way is to do both at the same time.
Like someone else said, trash everything. I think I'm making about 150k points per minute from the stuff I'm trashing :)
As soon as I unlock the Smart Splitters, I add an Overflow right before all my Storage Containers, so when they're full, the excess will go to Overflow and get trashed. This also ensures that productions keep running, forever.
Once you realise it could have doubled all your power shards from slimes...
