Creatures spawns issue
After recent upddate (not 1.0 release but latest patch/fix like a few days ago) i noticed that enemies do not spawn all at once like they used to, but they spawn one after another. For example, if a known place used to have 4 boars you will only find one now. After you kill it another one will spawn out of nowhere, and then another one, etc.

It looks awful and unimmersive, the world is almost empty now. But the worst thing this chain spawning includes non-hostile creatures too. So you wont see any lizard doggos unless you kill all hostile creasures in the area and possibly some nonhostile too, to trigger the lizard doggo's turn to spawn.

Is this a me problem or everyone has this after lastest fixes?

How many lizard doggos have you tamed (yes this makes a difference)

19

Is that because of it? I kinda suspected this might have something to do with it because i was going crazy with taming them left and right. So i thought maybe this is some kind of restrictive mechanism or something. But i found it too far stretched of a theory.

I've tamed zero and I just noticed this today.

A hatcher appeared on a rock where I had previously been standing firing at another hatcher, I went to get the first hatchers corpse and the second one spawned on the rock whole I was heading back to it.

I also killed like thousands of hostile creatures lately too, and sunk godzillion of DNA capsules (quadrupled). Mybe this has smething to do with it? I have no idea.

no it's all the dogs... you're going to have to put some of them to sleep.... with Explosives preferably....

Ironically in my world hatchers (and hatcher nests) spawn all at once as intended, they are not affected by this.

Dang it. So how many am i allowed to keep for things to go back to normal?

idk what the limit but if you have 19 tamed and it's only spawning 1 hog at a time, sound like 20 AI critters at a time is the limit... but just remove one at a time, and see if things go back to normal.

I guess I have not had the honor of finding a hatcher yet. What do they look like and what area are they common in?

How you miss them? They are the things that open up and send out suicide flies at you.

Looks like a purple alien egg that spawns fireflies. There are normal nests and alpha nests. They are very common actually, you can easily find them in all biomes usually near some POI like power-slugs or artifacts and such.

Thanx, I'll hunt for one and see what happens

Is the value of active critters in a baked file or is there a way to manually change them without trying to temper with source files? Anybody knows?

You don't have to "put them down". Add the mod https://ficsit.app/mod/DoggoTransportation that allows you to pick up doggos and you can just put them into storage. I did that and the other creatures started spawning again, and thus doggos are saved for the day when CS fixes this and they can roam free once again. inside the limits of there enclosure of course.

Found a bug report for 1.0 on this. Upvote and lets get this fixed. https://questions.satisfactorygame.com/post/670b67a6ddb9d97e071fef43
