until then we have mods and creature use of rotated and clipping foundations to create curves.
They tried to implement spline based roads, but it was canned due to being too buggy. There was a (buggy) mod, but I don't think it was updated for u8, perhaps it will be in the future.. Certainly something that should be implemented in the base game though. Roads over distance using foundations are really not worth the hassle, as they look and drive terribly if trying to hug the terrain and make tight incline/decline turns.
Heard the same thing a few times too.
It really wouldn't be a problem if they just offered more things. I was building something earlier and it occurred to me that there isn't a vertically orientated quarter-cylinder. There's the inverse of it, the quarter-pipe, that you can put on an upper surface to curve it, and there's a horizontal version, but not a vertical one.
Same thing with roads. I don't understand why they've given us several things that seem intended for roads, yet don't offer any proper foundations for one. A few curved road segments (30°, 45° and 90°) in a few different sizes/widths and we'd be sorted.
