am i understanding this right you put this in there and you can pull them out for your inventory so need for other transportation then unless you want to ship over fluid liquids but you could just package them up. I don't really care dosent break the game for me just wondering

You still need to run supply lines for machines, it just makes so you can put build Mats in there so you don't have to go run back to your base to get something.

You can't automatically take stuff out of them for production.

It's a bit hard to understand what you actually mean with what to my eyes look like broken english. Maybe using a translator to go from your native language would help you pose the question better so people could help you better?

Think of it as a larger pocket that you can put stacks of every single part in the game for building. I set one up for every item that I automate, that way instead of having to run back to that factory to resupply you can dip into the dimensional storage and use from there. Once you get it fully upgraded you almost never run out of parts while building.

Conveyors can deliver items IN, but no conveyors OUT. It's handy for access to your materials back at base rather then having the fill your personal inventory up with all the items you need for building elsewhere. Try it, you'll like it.

Yes, you understand right, it's exactly like that.

It's like how in so many survival games you can craft when the mats are in nearby boxes - except this is a special box, you can't take anything out of it, it can hold up to one stack of every item, and you can craft from it anywhere on the map. Oh and things go in slowly.

Useful for higher-tier stuff that you don't use in massive amounts (or often) like AI limiters, rather than stuff you go through in bulk like iron plates and cement, since it can only hold one stack of each item and it consumes those things in at a limited speed (depending on how much you've upgraded it).

It's primarily for building. My first factory has a bunch of stuff dedicated to just topping off the depot, all the way up to motors, rubber, and plastic. With it setup that way, instead of making supply runs across half the map, I can build almost anything, anywhere.
starting to get it make sense

Just to be exact you can also upgrade how many stacks it can hold. I can see techs up to 5 stacks per item, but is that the limit?

I believe the problem outlined by the poster is somewhat vaguely phrased. I think he's asking how you "pull stuff out", which is a question I had, but no, those items go straight to your build gun basically, you cant just pull the packaged turbofuel out and use it in your jetpack for instance, as far as I know

EDIT: YOU CAN PULL STUFF OUT. JUST DRAG AND DROP OR SHIFT OR CTRL CLICK

Any item in the Depot can be dragged into you Inventory and also uploaded to the depot from your inventory
So yes you can Pull "Turbo fuel" out. Just open your inventory click one the arrow on the left to open the Depot section and click and drag what ever items you want to an empty inventory slot.

It is Just a "Cloud Storage" that is Linked to your "Pocket Dimension"

Build gun and crafting stations can pull directly from the depot. However the MAM and any consumable items (jetpack fuel, ammo, etc.) still need to be dragged out of the depot and into your main inventory for you to be able to use them.

is it really 280? seems like an odd non-satisfactory number
270 or 240 seems more likely
Frankie Sep 22, 2024 @ 5:36am
yeah 240
