Progression questions - I'm about to create a server with friends

Hi there!

I want to create a server with some friends, but some of them already played like 150 hours pre 1.0

The thing is I waited for the 1.0 so I didn't play, I want to know how the progression works, and how the "campaign" and the "narrator" works, I mean I would like to have the most immersive experience possible and I wouldn't like to get ruined that experience because someone explored without me online.

Can I have more details on how the progression works? Are tiers server related? Is the campaign and dialogues with the narrator shared or is individual?

Basically if you don't what to miss anything, you need to be on together as you complete Milestones, MAM Research (but not HDDs) and Phase completions....
But the story is a little on the weak side so you aren't really going to miss much.
as long as you there for Phase Complete Space Elevator Launches (the Phase 5 one without a doubt)

So Basically just build production line, collect HDDs and research them. if anyone is offline and do the tech ups and research when together.

Everything is communal, one hub, one space elevator, one set of milestones and mam research is shared by all. So if you want to make sure you dont miss anything maybe run a single player map of your own on the side. Because in the multiplayer server you may miss things if you are not online when other places get things done.
