Where is the quartz deposit in the rocky mountain start
Like I found them close by after researching MaM, but whenever I stand on it from scanning it seems to be below, but I scouted the whole area and there is no cave or anything, anyone faced a similar issue?

If you mean the northwest biome, the easiest to find entrance to the big cave is the northern one on the shore. 1 entrance requires explosives to pass and also has gas, the eastern shore as I recall.

Where I found coal in the rocky start, there was a ravine that opened up into a cave system. Deeper in, there were two quartz nodes as well as a SAM node. I set up a quick mining / refining operation and then developed a path for tractors to get it out of the caves.

It's there I promise

They¨re in a rather large cave system which has four entraces. two big ones in the west and east. then two narrowers along the north coast.

The entrance is near where you find coal, yes, but not at sea level. Go to the coal node nearest the river. Search for iron. Climb towards that direction. You'll stumble across the entrance. If you found the iron node first, look down a bit.

There are 3 entrances for that one. As said one needs explosives, the others are pretty far away.

Fixing things with explosives? Nah, that's just Field Engineers in general.

I don't have any issue with finding the quartz nodes, the problem is that there are TOO FEW nodes in total.

To be fair, the total number of quartz nodes (17) is roughly similar to the number of sulfur (16) or bauxite nodes (17).

I get that for balance these are some of the resources that should be rarer than iron for example, but personally I'm not a fan of how nodes were redistributed.

Feel free to disagree, or pose a counter-argument that makes sense. Everyone is entitled to enjoy the game however they like. I personally like the node distribution better during EA.
