Tears in the Rain
I've played Satisfactory for a while since update ? and I noticed from time to time I was thinking about the movie Blade Runner - the original from '82. This was a bit puzzling since there's no similarities between the two. Just recently I found the connecting piece, as it were, and wondered if anyone else had noticed it.

I should mention that when I start new games I set the game music to about 25% compared to other settings and control the overall audio with the master volume. When I started a new game in 1.0 I forgot to change the audio and when I noticed how loud the game music was I made a quick swipe on the slider down to 50%+ or so. As I was chillin' by the hub sippin' coffee from my ticket-bought mug during an ingame night and letting my new iron & copper constructors do their thing, the game started a music track that had me thinking about the end of Blade Runner again.

Now, I will state right away, the two tracks are NOT the same, but the similarities between them are eerie to the point of being uncanny. The track in Blade Runner is called Tears In the Rain when the main bad guy gives what, IMO, is the best speech in sci-fi. I believe the track in Satisfactory is called Akycha System.

Just thought I drop a note about it as an interesting tidbit for some of us. :lunar2019coolpig:

Yes, I noticed the Tears in the Rain track too. Glad I am not the only one. Some of the other tracks sound familiar too but I have not been able to place them yet.

Wouldn't surprise me, seeing as how they named the leg gear... Blade Runners.

:lunar2020horrifiedrat: {mind blown} How did I not ever make THAT connection?! Well, I guess that's how my l'il monkee-mind works...I don't see the obvious thing in front of me and pursue a sub-conscious flag instead!

Man, thanks to this post the film comes back in Mind, I still love to listen to Rachel's Song and also Tears in the Rain. Cyberpunk had a really nice Easter egg for Blade Runner in the game, was hard to reach and find, but worth it

Now you've got that sorted, you just need to match the visual aesthetic of your factories..

Hopefully they'll bring back the actual rain.

Lol, yeah. Who will be the first to re-create the Tyrell Corp. building from the movie?

Achievement for building Tyrell's pyramid: "You've Done A Man's Job, Sir"

Which would never fit as the protag and a fair part of the player base is female. But this is the 1980's. It was impossible to be too sexist back then.

Hmmm {stroking chin in thoughtful manner}...perhaps the Pioneer is the only rumored Nexus 7...

Rather convenient that all the Pioneer helmets are dark-tinted to the point of appearing completely opaque - dark enough to block a Voight-Kampff test, I'd wager...
