visual issue - gas cloud graphics sometimes remain after gas source is gone

Has anyone else had this?

One of the "flowers that stand up and spit gas", or one of the poison gas pillars, will have a cloud around it, and its really there and damaging.

Sometimes, like maybe 1 in 10? Visually the gas effects remain in place. Note that I dont take any damage, so its not "really" there. But I still see it.

Has anyone seen this issue, either?

Yes, to both your post. I have seen discussion on both. The gas cloud remaining has been an issue for a long time. The respawn of them is new to 1.0. I believe they are aware and working on it.

i mean, they always take several seconds to disappear, but after waiting like 10-15 seconds, the visual effects usually go away for me. but like 1 in 5 or 1 in 10? not sure havent kept track, the visuals are still there and make me nervous

As far as my experience. The cloud remaining doesn't hurt you. Now the gas pillars returning might. IDK about that. But have seen others posting about that issue.
