sure, but this games takes 100+hrs to beat (I just beat it after 1.0 ), and i'm note sure i want to do it all again. just for one achievement i worked on but wasn't there to watch him pull the lever.
But the achievements would be ever more pointless if anyone could join a server with everything unlocked and instantly get all of the achievements.
Doesn't sound like a friends to me. Sounds like someone who only cared about themselves. Could have waited for that friend to come back and then unlocked the tier ;)
oh my god shut up, I was making food fully aware he would continue (and unlock a few things here and there) like in the same room, you're saying I should have to just leave the GPU on for no reason. Guess my character will never sit down :P
it's a short sighted design!!!!
does it occur to you that the friend who gets the completion achievement also "cheated" by having me build that huge steel factory the entire time they went hard drive hunting?? same deal.
It'd be way cooler if players had a home hub, and a list of specific achievements record to the hub when they are completed by any player. When a player loads it checks is this their home hub, if yes are there pending achievements, boom achievement granted achievement queue does its thing.
Nobody knows that when they start the game though, it doesn't say that anywhere.
I unlocked jumppads while someone was eating before they got on and not at one point did I consider that it would invalidate them from having completed all milestones with us in the game.
Having everyone have to be playing to make ANY progress for them to get the achievement is really anti-multiplayer and antifun. I'm already anticipating having to savescum to have everyone buy and get the golden nut, but hearing that because someone else was too busy for a session so they're permanently locked out of the 100% on our save is really unfun, and I don't get why it should be that way
The alternative would be to give you the achievements after you rejoin, that would make people start cheating the achievements by joining others lobbies.
As long as they're present when you do the last one, they should 100% get it, if someone wants to "Cheat" it by joining others before they finish the last milestone, let them, who cares. No one joins random people anyway, almost all groups are premade friends.
You can already just load up an inventory of items and unlock everything (although in this game comically you'll spend a session waiting on the dropship thing)
