AVG blocking Satisfactory from running due to IDP.Generic

Since I downloaded todays patch Satisfactory will not load, and my antivirus AVG is blocking \Steam\steamapps\common\Satisfactory\Engine\Binaries\Win64\FactoryGameSteam-Win64-Shipping.exe from running because it is infected with IDP.Generic
Is there some way to roll back my patch so I can play the game?

Change your antivirus. I use for years Comodo antivirus and Firewall. It's free and it works like a charm.

Just add an exception for the file in AVG. I have been using that for years and when it stopped the file for me I just exempted the file and all is good.

Easy solution: Uninstall antivirus and remove all files related to it that are left behind. Windows defender has become good enough to be enough for most users. No need for an antivirus anymore. (unless you like going to a whole bunch of shady websites that is.)

I see AVG and i puke. Like who is even using that crap? Its worse than McAfee.

You dont even see viruses today so windows defender is your "antivirus". Add in something actualy usefull like Malwarebytes that protect from real threats and you are good.

AVG still exists? Hell, I'm surprised any anti-virus outside of corporate use exists today considering how good the built in Windows Defender is and gets way more love and attention than any other anti-virus.

Use Windows Defender; It has to the surpise of many become the best antivirus solution out there, without the questionable conduct of those "free" Antifvirus manufactores.

You don't need / have to revert file...
File is perfectly trusted, it's antivirus that don't think so.

You need to mark it as trusted or change antivirus.

If you don't trust security of file, you can upload the file to online services that check it with many different antivirus and you'll see that AVG/ avast consider it as a virus, while other 50 antivirus doesn't.

AVG is horrible now... Any free antivirus other than windows defender (if you have it online constantly because it needs smartscreen) is a waste.

What a lot of bad advice here. If your antivirus detects something, the solution is not to just uninstall your protection.
It is up to the devs to ensure the files are safe and not flagged as viruses

"Delete useles, ♥♥♥♥♥ parody to antivirus" is not bad advice. And its not cuz it "detected" something in this game, its cuz its plain trash piece of software.
