In the mean time, you could put in 6 coupon sinks along the path to the elevator and sink 63/64 of the items, and you'd be close to your 10x scale :D Or 7 sinks would exceed it with 127/128 sinked. (You'd actually only need 1 sink, and 7 splitters in a row that all lead to it.)
Where you see something about "challenge"? It just makes no sense, to build hundrets of machines, only to deliver a few parts and shred the rest into the sink...
"Just a switch" means, you have a choice. go troll somehere else, bot.
In short, it's a valid and decently popular concept. No reason for the devs to not consider the feature.
i unlocked everything, except the last phase and unlocked all MAM research before even starting the game. using satisfactory-calculator.com
it sounds lame, but it is a whole new experience not slowed down by research, but slowed down by game progress itself how fast and effective you are.
i can build tier 5 belts, but i dont have the materials for that, except that little bit on crash sites. i can plan my factories with all receipes, because WHY in the world should Ficsit sent me to a planet with a tiny bit of information about the other receipes....?
now i shred 90% of my elevator products, not having anything to waste before. In fact, its a new game-feeling with that. give it a try ;)
It would be nice, to have these options in the game (without activating the creative mode - i know about the advanced settings).
You seem to be mistaking this for Factorio or Dyson Sphere Program.
There is no external threat and all resources are infinite. All multipliers would do is drag everything out, not make it more difficult or more challenging.
When you're trying to sell an idea and get people on your side, never, NEVER, EVER, insult the audience you are trying to attract
Your idea just died with your comment right here
Obviously, since these are not options within the game itself, there would have to be some personal integrity to obey the restrictions that you have placed upon yourself. For example, I am challenging myself by playing without a chainsaw and attempting to only gather dead wood and dead shrubs for my biomass burners -- this would probably be an impossible challenge if I started in a different zone than the Dune Desert but, then again, I probably would not have even conceived the concept had I started elsewhere.
To each their own ... as long as everyone is having fun.
Aside note -- having an increased quantity of required components in Factorio does become a challenge beyond just one of time since in that game the raw material resources are limited and you have to explore the map further to locate new deposits. In Satisfactory, the raw material nodes are in predetermined locations and have an infinite amount -- not much of a challenge if you can utilise the community compiled map showing you exactly where all the resource nodes are placed. For me, a major part of the enjoyment is exploring the world and discovering everything there is to find and, while I appreciate the community complied information and blueprints, I endeavour not to use them or other cheats / mods unless I become hopelessly frustrated. However, that appears to be a long time in the future since I am currently enjoying the game the way the developers created it.
In Satisfactory making things 10x more expensive just means everything takes 10x as long with no other downside.
If you want to be pushed to increase the scale of what you do, you don't need the game to force you to do so. Just make it a personal goal to go big or go home. Or try to get all the things from the awesome shop, with the amount of tickets you'll have to farm I guarantee you will have an incentive to go big.
Store 10-100X amount needed before submitting it and putting the rest into a sink, pretending the sink is how it must be submitted.
Or pretend you are not allowed to advance a milestone until you’ve played on one for 100 hours.
Or realize it’s pointless changing the count, and just don’t advance until you FEEL LIKE advancing, which is what I do.
I'm surer there are mods for your 'requests and wishes' or you should make some! Make "everyone" happy with a super prolonged game! ;-)
Honestly, that is a MAJOR problem with the game.
Why not just build one of each construction building then? If all you do is sit around waiting. Are you playing the game, or do you just sit around watching youtube videos while you wait for the game to beat itself?
Why bother with optimizing anything at all? Why bother with 90% of the map if all you need is one or two nodes of each resource?
For a factorization game, there's very little need to actually factorize. I like the idea of cranking the deliveries because it would actually make you do what the game is designed to do.
