Turbomotors are ridiculous
Feels like a major complexity spike to towards the end of phase 4. What's up with this?

I set out to make 10 a minute and feel like a few days later I've covered a quarter of the map with a factory for them and still haven't got all the constituent items ready.

If not using alt recipes, yeah I eats up so space for sure… well even with the alt recipes technically.

Somersloops are the absolute meta at the end of phase 4 if you wanna be lazy and reuse preexisting lines. If you can overclock a single manufacturer to 250% then double it with a somerloop, supply should swell pretty quick. It's kinda ridiculous how OP they are at the expense of just a bit more power consumption.

Sloop barely helps with them since they require like all the liquid, gas, and metal type available at that point to make. Gotta have pretty good logistics to handle that one. For me, I used trains circling the southern half of the map for all the materials and some small inner circles for local crafting and etc before shoving them all down the main spaghetti express.

I was kind of shocked about what turbo motors needed, a lot of resources and machines before even getting to the turbo motor itself. Easy you can fill 16x16 foundations for only one line

Yeah. It's especially annoying because turbo motors are needed for miners mk3.

And miners mk3 would be really useful for turbo motors.

This could have been sequenced better.

I have 28 of them in Phase 3, tier 6.... HDD hurting :P

You can also find some Turbo motors on the map at crash sites, i found a few like 17 or something but still!
i don't remember were i found them and i think it's random anyway.

came here for this. the requirements for phase 4 are such a slog in the long run. even if you minmax your factory the requirements are alittle outlandish. this is my one and only complaint about this game thus far and im slowly losing the drive to continue onto beating the game because of the time requirements alone.

Build TALL, just a big ass modular blueprint tower. I think my blueprint is only 5x4 in length and width

turbomotors are a pain to set up, yes. mostly because of the diverse resources needed.

the electric motor variant is better, as it removes the need for nitrogen gas (either bottled or from the cooling system). you do still need quartz however, which is more a question of delivery logistics than anything else.

once set up however, the question then becomes how many you can make, vs how many you need. and outside of stage 4 and 5 elevator parts, you just need it for buildings.

Yeah? That's big lol? Have you guys being doing 5x5 lines for a product? I always aimed for big thicc lines that could supply other lines down the road. The game sorta gave you plenty of hints at the beginning that was gonna be a thing. The turbomotor wasn't that bad provided you set up a good solid foundation beneath it.

The absolute biggest f up first time builders can make is not leaving enough room for expanding lines.... to the right, left, above and below of it and then using that for more complicated items. Then you either have to rebuild everything or make duplicate lines elsewhere... figure out a way to combine it.... and it's getting rather complicated.

I'm also quite surprised people need trains. I never needed a single train. I think I got 10 or so drones, carrying supplies here and there and that's all I needed for logistics.

I used trains to unlock drones. :hthappy:

Surprised one uses trains when not having Drones unlocked? Really?

Drones are way easier to set up? Hardest thing about drones is producing enough batteries, that's about it.
