dedicated server using large amount of CPU.
anyone run into an issue where the dedicated server just starts chewing into CPU usage saw mine reach 100% the other day if i restart the server it drops back down to 25 ish with other game servers running but has reached 100% the other day kicked everyone out of the servers and came back up.. almost like it has a memory Leak in the CPU no idea if that is possible.

cant really find anything online about it either,
currently running an AMD 7 7700 with 64 gb of memory game barely touched the memory,
sitting on a NVMe drive hosted on Linux Debian Virtual Machine

Bump

Yeah, the dedicated server was noticeably improved but still far from being entirely fixed an fully usable. There is no memory leak, it's just not performant and optimized enough. It's also using a singe CPU core which severely limits its performance, instead of spreading load across multiple cores.

Lots of people complaining about server performance issues on Discord and QA Site: high CPU usage, lag, stutter, FPS drops, crashes, lots of server-specific bugs. This is true for both Windows and Linux versions of the server.

I can only hope that the devs will keep working on it, because it's definitely unfinished.

Much appreciate the response yeah, yeah odd that it using 100% of the overal CPU, may have to move to a locally hosted, didn't realise dedicated server is not really functional.

Well, it's functional, much better than it was in Early Access it just has lots of issues still, not entirely finished. I've played 1.0 for 200+ hours on a local server with fairly minimal issues (except that ground vehicles are unusable, trains and drones are fine) but I had to move it from the tiny Dell I was using before (mobile i5 7500T) to a larger PC with a real desktop CPU (i7 6700K). It's better now, the 7500T struggled, but lag and sub 30-FPS drops are still common in busy areas. Same save in a singlplayer game runs perfectly smooth at 100+ FPS.
