Computer Locations
Does anyone know where I can find the 17 or so computers scattered a wrecks on the first map? Specifically if they are at consistent locations or if they are random. If specific which wrecks are they at.

second question, if they are pre-generated what is at each wreck? I see lots of guides for how to unlock all wrecks but nothing for 1.0 about what is at each wreck.

FYI, it's one big map, you just pick a starting location.
As for Computer locations, You are just going to have to look around wrecks for them, but those tend to be guard by stronger enemies (if you have them turned off this isn't a issue)

Use the interactive map, it's a great tool and helps you keep track on your collections. (You can have it check your save to show the map and what you have and have not gathered)

Just a heads up- I went to several of the crash sites with computers over the last week, and you should be prepared to either build a lot of stairs/bridges to get to them, or use a jet pack/hyper cannon to reach them. You also need to be prepared for some high end critters in relatively tight quarters. I'm also pretty sure at least two of locations had uranium deposits around them, so be prepared for radiation damage if you don't have a way to deal with it yet.

They can have radioactive Alpha Hogs as well.

I ran into one of those, but since the crash site also had uranium outcrops getting rid of the hog didn't really help. I ended up sprinting in at full speed to grab the computers and hard drive, then sprinted off the edge and hit my chute with about 1 tick of health left. :steamhappy:

Certain inclines you can ride up, and gain speed. It’s just jump, open the chute glide into an incline and if it’s not too steep you go up, some times gaining speed.

If you want to use only what the game provide....

To find them you have different options

- explore and sharp eye
- unlock and build radio towers
- unlock and build scanner for HDD

Just fly at any inclined surface that isn't quite vertical. You need something like 10 degrees off the vertical to fly "up" them.
You get a feel for it after a while of what you can skim up and what you can't. I still haven't bothered making a Jetpack yet even at T8 just because of that (and Ladders exist).

You can make a blueprint of several beams on an incline to use for launching yourself with a parachute

You don't even need to do that, just Catwalk ramps or stairs works as a launch
