Somersloop Idenitfier idea
So right now the only way to see if a machine has a somersloop inside is the purple air that sometimes expels from the vents. While that sometimes works, wouldnt it be better to have the tall status light turn purple when one is installed?
Would make it MUCH easier to identify what machines are doing double output

How would you denote if its somerslooped and overclocked (blue) or not working all the time (yellow) or unpowered (red).
Its already glowing purple on the power node and expelling purple fumes.
and you can use dismantle mode to see which machines have it.

I guess they show it with another effect to still allow feedback of if a machine is overclocked too. Also not sure if the alien effect continues when the machine idles/stops but if it does that's then also one way to keep showing it has alien boost and keep basic machine state infos

Nice idea for a mod.

Pretty sure the connection point for the power line also has a different effect on it.

1. Press [F]
2. Look at machine.
3. Works from a distance.

that status light has other uses to tell you if you have a power outage or if overclocking is in use or if the machine is powered but idle. so the best way I can see to add this feature would be to have maybe only the tip of the light shine purple/pink to denote somersloop in use so you can see the rest of the bar giving you the usual status colors.

Machine upgrades could stand to be much more visible. Or maybe give the pioneer some goggles that show normal machines as grey and highlight upgraded machines. Something like that.

One suggestion to consider, use the customeriser to paint machines augmented with a somerloop to something different to the other machine (one idea might be paint those machine a lovely shade of somerloop-purple :).

Granted this is a manual process, but if really wanting a way to quickly/easily visualise which machines have them, this could work.

or what I do...I just remember where I put somersloops. usually if I used a somersloop somewhere it was a very thoughtful decision and I know they are in there or I really want them in there as soon as I find more.

int he early game I just have one machine with the somersloop in it and just change the recipe for whatever I need to pump through double output. Things like early slug processing, biomass and alien protein I manually pump through special stand alone constructors to help maximize output for anything where I have to manually gather materials for which is a huge time saver in the first few days of the game

I use paint to colour overclock, under rclocked and Sloop machibery

Still a bit sad that the solution for manually searching every single machine, is to never put yourself in that situation in the first place.

I never knew that, ty

There are hints to see even from a distance where somersloops might be. Usually pink sparks or smoke plus the machines make a weird sound when running. But generally when you only have a dozen or so sloops you can often recall where you put most of them. And later on the machines that have them are the machines that will always have them so it no longer matters were they are. The ones that are temporary for me are machines not part of any major factory just doing something special for me and those are easy to remember.
