Reanimated SAM on Tier 9 Milestone

I unlocked it in the MAM very early and it could already be processed by a constructor. Why is it again in the first tier 9 milestone? I was thinking there may be alternate recipes for RSAM but it does not look like that in the codex. Am I missing something? Waiting until tier 9 to use the alien artifacts does not seem quite reasonable so what's the deal here?

The MAM is an early unlock, just like Caterium in like tier 5/6

MAM research is not technically essential. So any item needed in core recipes is also unlocked by Tier unlocks, for those who never got that far in the MAM

Not everyone finds the SAM early, it can happen one only search the resources needed and not go for the others early on

I did not notice it's the same with cat. Though I only found the "Cat Scan" both in the MAM and the milestone while for SAM it's the scan, the reanimated sam and the fluctuator.

But thanks for the answers, it's nice to know it's just for convenience.

Few of the mam bits are like that. It’s to give you the scan if you were not lucky finding a node before to research since your now required to have that resource.
