Train never loads into the second Freight Cars onwards
My train never loads into the second Freight Cars onwards, it just loads into the first Freight Cars and runs. Even though I set 3 stations Oil (in) > Quartz (in) > Base (out) it just stops for a while at Quartz without loading. Does anyone know why?

Basically, if your first Trains station and 1 Platform, it'll load into the first Car. If your second Trains station also has 1 Platform, it'll try to load into the first Car. But since it is already occupied, it cannot load into it. So, just use the Empty Platform after the Train station to space out the first Car and have a Platform that would load your Quartz into the second Car.

In your base will also needed 2 Platform to unload from the first and second Car.

Screenshots would help, but the obvious thing to check would be that the freight platform is set to load.

Be sure the station switch is not set for unload.

You have to set load/unload at each loading platform if i remember correctly and it is easy to forget one.

Definitely not a freight platform problem.

When the Oil Station does not fully supply the first Freight Car, it will continue to take from the Quartz Station. But it will only fill the first Freight Car even if there is still inventory in the Freight Platform. It will never load the second Freight Car.

I'm playing on a dedicated server, is this the issue?

I could be wrong here, it has been a long time since Ive fiddled with trains, but you might want to double check the scheduling too. Seems like that can mess things up too, but I could totally be wrong about that.

If you are absolutely sure it isnt settings then I suppose it could be a dedicated server bug.

Also just so that I'm clear... You have a station with two loading platforms attached to it. One platform should be loading oil and the second quartz and the quartz platform is not loading and BOTH platforms are set to load?

check your cargo to make sure you are loading the same liquid (not accidentally mix with something else) or it will not load. Unlike other stuff, it will not "mix" like dry goods.

Ok i just re-read the OP.

The station that needs to load the second car will have to have an empty platform between the station and the loading platform.

Looks like you are right, I always build the Freight Platform right after the Trains station without the Empty Platform. This might be the reason. I will test it soon

I use 2 stations to load far apart and the Freight Platform is always next to the Trains station. This may be the same reason as NocheLuz said. Currently I only load items and not liquids.

NocheLuz is right, can't just use 2 Platform Item and 2 Platform Liquid to upload and unload everything. Each Freight Cars in Train will need a separate set of Platform
