So on my with my mk3 (48m) sloped rail, if going up, I have to place 4 foundations from it. Aim my blueprint at the middle of the 4th foundation, Hit H, nudge it into place, then place it.
Delete a section, then attach the rails.
they never snap.
make sense because the game does not guess how your creation would/should snap when you create it.
If you're in the "Default" build mode, the blueprint snaps to whatever object you're looking at. Even if you're looking at (into) another blueprint, you're still snapping to that specific object. The snap is either top edge-to-top edge or bottom edge-to-bottom edge, depending on where you look at the object.
This is extremely useful for dictating an exact height, such as a raised, floating platform off the ground or the top of a blueprint you want extending partially underground.
(See Screenshots Below)
When building a BP in "Blueprint" build mode, the blueprint snaps to other blueprints on-center horizontally and bottom edge-to-bottom edge or top face-to-bottom face vertically. The entire face of the target blueprint is the target -- even if you're otherwise staring at blank space.
Because of this behaviour, blueprints of different heights don't snap together well unless designed around that behaviour.
If you have a blueprint with an "in" and an "out" -- like a bunch of ramps, you may need to break it into multiple different blueprints or us a temporary "placesetter" blueprint to create a desirable snapping point.
