How many hours to "complete" the game's story?
Hello, does anyone have an idea of the number of hours to finish the main storyline? I assume it's reaching tier 9?

0 hours.... there is no 'story', only some narratives, but to 'complete' the game doing all the Tiers and Phases it can vary from 40 hours (if you speed it and build everything fast and good, to 100+ hours to get to the final Phase

After completing you can keep building factories or do a new save

I am at 100 hours this play through and I am no where close to the end of the story even for tier 9.

The story is divided into a couple parts

Phase 9 is one, collecting alien artifacts is another, and apparently hard drives is the third.

later stages need so much stuff built its gonna take a long time.

On your first run where you have to learn the mechanics etc. i would say 100+ hours. The current world record was around 22 hours. Experienced players are somewhere in between, depending on how much you want to escalate.

Thanks for your responses. Yes, I had already, 90 hours to reach tier 8 or 9. But when I talk about the story, it's more about the final objective of launching the rocket. How long does it take to reach this objective?

If you stayed on task and just built machines for quest items, and power, using spaghetti belt to bring materials to better locations, sub 100 would be very reasonable.

For a new player… 150 to 200 hours if they focus on nothing but completing milestones and project assembly.
For someone who knows how to play, 90 to 120 hours, again focusing just on completing project assembly.
If you are Epiphanie 21 hours, or 3 hours and 26 minutes using glitches.

I just completed Tier 5 and the whole save is about 100 hours. Probably 30-40% of that time was me afking here and there (all tier 5 stuff I just made using somerslooped machines and just manually feeding stuff for efficiency and it it took maybe 4 hours). That includes gathering all Mercer Spheres, Somersloops, Hard Drives, covering the map with Radars and placing geothermal generators on all Geysers.

Story wise... I don't want to spoil stuff but as someone mentioned, there's not much of it and to me it doesn't feel like it's complete. There's no "final reveal" that I was hoping for.

PS: I'm yet to complete 2 rail achievements (haven't placed a single rail so far), unlocking 3 last researches in MAM and doing the 1000 coupon statue, so there's still some content to go through. I would also love to do all Uranium > Plutonium > Ficsonium utilization as I've never done nuclear power in Satisfactory because it was so annoying.

Just finished Phase 5 in 97 hours. Could be faster, but setting up a nuclear power plant on Dangle Spires beach and a railway to deliver uranium there from the Grass fields cave took additional time, and it was absolutely optional.

I'm starting to build the alu factory, Tier 5/6, 140h.
Looted about a third of the map, all built nicely, environment-non-destructive, modular future prove and efficient with good recipes. No trains in need yet. No ideling, but lot's of planning/thinking/researching, no skyroads.

To me a central quetion seems to be: do you have creatures on hostile or passive?

If I think of killing all the creatures while looting (even with rifles), I would have give up on the game! And discovering Pure Aluminium after builing the Alu Fab ... (I've built them in v0.7 and 0.8)

Because I most like trouble solving and planning the unplanable, but not fighting. Or is it so that if you enjoy fights, the time in need doesn't really matter? Thinking of dieing 3 km away from home constantly, visiting places multiple times because of lack of skills, etc,

Usually I study the map for topography and good reciepes online, then go by hand scanner and my imagination. As you would if going on a wildness safari on Earth II. :)

There's no race, but maybe I'm just sloooow ... but I do not like end up chaotic or dead, as in my first save in 0.7.

Hostile.
Jetpack + explosive rebars solve any problem.
You needn't worry about creatures respawns in the production areas, because certain amount of powered buildings disables them.
As for the non-production areas - let them respawn - you have no business there ;-)

Ok!
Maybe I'll give it a try when I get bored constructing and/or in need of more adrenalin.
:)

It took me 70 hours for the main quest but I played before so already knew what I was doing, I wasn't rushing it either tho and spent a decent amount of time collecting stuff
