Right & left stairs

Please tell me they didn't remove the right & left stairs (previously available in the FICSIT shop). These are great for confining a stairwell to a single platform piece in width & length. I jumped in to version 1.0 with both feet and am hoping they just made these items learnable a different way rather then removing them altogether. Side note, my maps that pre-date the full release still have them as an option.

Yeah, I'm really sad they're gone. I almost want to go back to my old save just for these.

They're not removed, just can't get them now. I can still make them in my .8 saves last I looked

My older maps still have them as well. I wonder why they were removed for 1.0? It really doesn't make any sense to remove items like that, more options is better IMO. I hope they bring them back, the big platform stairs we have now are too bulky IMO. Side note, the only reason I started a new map instead of continuing on an older map is for the achievs. That said, I may go back to my old maps after the achiev list is done.

They are 'removed' because of catwalks and such. No need for the other when you can ;make it yourself'

I hated the fact that they removed them, but I suppose it's OK because in trying to get the back via blueprints I discovered a glitch that lets me build any building, with any recipe as long as I have the materials. I love making aluminum at tier 3. (Disclaimer I dismantled that factory as I'm not sequence breaking.)
I have a blueprint for the stairs if you want it. Left and Right.

Catwalks don't have the ability to squish into a single foundation though. I tried mimicking the stairs with catwalks, and the best you can do to make the same thing is take a 2x2 foundation footprint. The old Stairs could circle a single pillar.

There are new concrete stairs that are far easier to use.

I'm surprised SCIM doesn't still have them unlockable, if that's the case. Could try contacting the person who made it and ask for that option.

I miss them too, there was no real reason to remove them. And yes there's other stairs and ramps you can use, but why remove it if some people like them? It's not that they are a feature request, they're allready there! They work on a single foundation and also work better with 'technical inbetween floors' that are not a full multiple of a 4m wall.

I was really disappointed to no longer find this plan in the shop, which I loved to use on all my previous games. Whether it was to connect floors properly or to build huge towers...rest in peace.
I was heartbroken to have to replace it with unsuitable staircases that took up too much space.
Give us back our stairs!!!

Here's a workaround to get them back:
If you have a world with them unlocked from before 1.0, load it. The stairs should be in their usual menu spot. Place them down in a blueprint, then save it. Copy the blueprint file (%appdata%/Local/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/blueprints/[worldname]), then paste the blueprint file into the folder of the world you want them in. From there, you can just place the blueprint, and if you need to place more stairs, you don't need another blueprint, you can just press middle click and you can place more normally.
Sadly it's a workaround, but at least you can use them. I make sure all of my blueprints use them, just out of spite now.

In tight spaces its a downer, the catwalks can't be squishes this compact sadly

Thanks I didn't realize I could just make it myself, even better a custom one (I'd argue though they shouldn't have removed it but it did force me to learn that fact and it is redundant)
