Can we get a hypertube landing dampeners?
I'd like to place my hypertubes and land vertically downward onto the floor, about a little over a player's height when I appear to an area, but I lose most of my health in turn because it registers as fall damage. I linked my tubes to a neat room I built, but it is too tight for a jelly pad (and it wouldn't look good). It would be neat of there was a landing pad we could place beneath it. Or maybe just implement a connector that functions as both an entry/exit with a dampener.

There is a landing pad. Look in the jump pad category. Build one, plug it in, and enjoy landing in green jello! :steamhappy:

the game is missing a wall variant

also why does it need power lol

Not an issue with a jetpack

You can achieve the same effect of landing downwards by elevating your exit point and hitting an object.

Example (using the back end of a support as my wall): https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2259814049

You could also use a parachute. Falling from great hights without parachute is a violation of FICSIT terms.

This is something I wish they put into the game as well. I had to make it so the output hits the pillars that I put up for my walkways down so I don't get shot crazy far out.

You could just hit the brakes if you don't want to build a jelly pad landing. Direct your pioneer to the opposite direction of tube flow and you can slow down your rate of tube travel. Once stopped you can turn around. Helps if you blindly go tube jumping. I used to jump down the wrong one all the time. Signs helped with that.

Yeah, but it works from the side as well. just place it correctly. ;)

I just smack into walls (8m away from the entrance) works everytime ;)

I to have issues with getting 'thrown' out of the tube (she didn't want last night, and now... never mind , that is something different). However, on hypertubes having a 'slow down when nearing exit' would be a great improvement. Also an option (if not by default) a 'confirm entering' (pressing use key). Sometimes when getting to near... well, you get sucked in (my mind is now really thinking of something else reading this)

You could fire yourself up out of the tube end instead of down. Ramp piece above to push you out.

I'd like an accelerator piece to clip onto the supports similar to the entrance, if it was directional it could work as a decelerate at the end too. Even if it needed power I think it would be nicer than building cannons.

funny game, exiting the hypertube vertically at several m/s and hitting the floor 2 meter down face first, pretty damaging. Exiting a hypertube horizontally at double or even triple the previous speed, smacking face first into a wall, then dropping 3-4 meters no damage at all.
