Not in my current playthrough. Everything I build is in the Dunes, which is just sand. I don't feel bad at all putting solid ground on sand, if anything it makes things look better!

And everything else I build is high enough in the air that the "paradise" remains mostly untouched. Save for a few trees that were a bit too tall, or a few bushes that got sacrificed to pave a road for my trucks.

Good idea, I grew up in the desert southwest of the US. I would not feel bad at all about paving that junk.

And they charged the people a dollar just to see them...
ADA: Ficsit incorporated doesn't recommend putting tree's in a museum, instead Ficsit recommends turning tree's into biofuel to aid with powering future exploitation.
