Rocket Fuel is a winner!
Went through great lengths to get coal, sulfur, fuel and nitrogen gas to my blenders to make the alternate "Nitro Rocket Fuel" for 150 m/3 p/m. A fuel generator burns 4.17 Rocket Fuel p/m. So with that 150 you can run almost 36 generators per blender. Two power shards and four Somersloops will get you 600 m/3 or almost 144 generators. A good 35,750 MW's from just one blender!

Note: Minus the 750 MW's to run the blender :)

Not almost. Equal.
150 rocket fuel = 36 generators
600 = 144 generators
Don't forget to make more rocket fuel with the byproduct you make.

You can make Turbo Fuel and then use it to make Rocket Fuel. Which is more tedious than using Nitro Rocket Fuel. I'll just throw it away somewhere that needed Compacted Coal, or sink them.

Heh, I just asked my Echo Dot. Actually asked a few times as I couldn't believe it was that high. Yesterday I started building a nuclear reactor, but my power was running off batteries and needed a lot of power quickly. Then I picked up that Nitro Rocket Fuel recipe and took a chance with my limited time (power storage is 10 GW's). Good thing I built that much weeks ago.

A combination of the basic Turbo fuel recipe (to make use of the Compacted Coal) and Blended Turbofuel into Rocket Fuel will allow you to reduce Sulfur usage by 64.4%, Coal by 100% and Nitrogen by 20% at the cost of 65% more Crude Oil and a small amount of Iron.

Yes it's a more complicated setup but this is Satisfactory we are talking about, that just makes it more fun :)

Define too much.

This is one of those situations where unless you're going to be exploiting the entire map and need to efficient with each type of resource, using extra sulphur for the far higher output of the nitro recipe is just easier all around.
At least, from what I can see.

I badly need to expand my power, so I'm looking at doing it properly. I'm eyeing up the oil wells in the SE corner. With the 450m³ of oil I can get, I can make 1000m³ Rocket Fuel with multiple additional steps using the default recipe, or 1800m³ Rocket Fuel using the nitro recipe, removing the need to make iron plates and skipping turbofuel entirely.
Sure, it quadruples the sulphur required and over doubles the nitrogen, but it's a small price to pay. Once I get access to Mk6 belts, I can get that from the single pure node nearby. For now I'll have to conveyor it over.

The only problem is... it will require 432 fuel generators to burn it all. That's gonna be one hell of a build.

The amount of machines needed to even MAKE Rocket Fuel, is just mind blowing. Lucky I found a place where every resource was nearby. Only the space is a bit to cramped to build a lot of machines. But I build nicely around a Geyser, probably have to make a tower if willing to add more generators

Also, that ONE iron plate needed... why the hell?

Heh, yeah that damn iron plate in the nitric acid recipe.

And I really don't think the build is that big. Using the turbo blend recipe takes about 15 blenders and 15 refineries from 450m³ of oil. The nitro fuel recipe still requires 15 refineries and only 24 blenders. Like, it's not even that much bigger for how much better the end product is, never mind comparing it to other products at this stage ><

It's the consumption of it that will take the space.

Overclock them, it's 56 @ 250% + 2 @ 200% per 600m3 pipe for a total of 174 for 1800m3.

I gathered all of the ingredients, got it to a central train station and sent that train out to the ocean. Loads of space out there. The rail brings the power to me and sends it back to the mainland.

u mean the one Hor Refinery a little overclocked to fit a diluted fuel blender that goes straight into the nitro rocker fuel blender? ye insane Number of machines: 3 steps to get 150 rocket fuel ( minus the miners and stuff)
