How to place Conveyor Lift Floor Hole from below?
I usually build from bottom to top floor and not the other way around. But it is extremely tedious to figure how where in the ceiling the floor hole has to go. Is there some trick to this?

The best you can do in vanilla is to float some guiding foundations to help you align everything correctly.

Edit: Maybe your factory designs could utilize the blueprint designer to standardize this and other annoyances as well... It would still be annoying, but now it's standardized to a more... tolerable level...

There is no elegant way to do it.
What works for me is to place a hole on the floor as a reffrence point and then place the one on the ceiling in the corresponding place, using the texture of a standard foundation for reffrence.

Ok, that is what I have doing as well. At least I can somehow guess the snap point when I take the floor texture as a reference, but it often still needs more than one try to get it right :(

I use Concrete Foundation not the base Ficsit ones
They have a pattern on them. I usually place the Floor Hole in the center square or just outside it

I use the glass frame foundations and blueprints to help with this.
Still screw it up sometimes though.

Usually I just start building a conveyor lift from the bottom up, and then I clip the hologram into the floor. That lets me see where the floor hole needs to go -- I've got them on my quickbar so I just hit the hotkey and place it where I was looking.

Use a fixed place.

a few tricks you can try.
stand directly infront of a merger/splitter and look straight up.
Look at the foundations, concrete for example has that square shape in the middle, use that to see where it would go on the floor below you then just copy the location to the one above.

You can use the small pillars as a guideline, they have the same size as the conveyor hole. Just zoop them up to the ceiling and you'll know where the hole needs to go.

Or you can just build the lift itself without the hole first, then add the hole where the lift touches the ceiling, dismantle and do it properly. Unless I am not understanding your problem correctly this shouldn't be very difficult.

Yeah this is my go-to method for aligning anything between floors, and most things tbh.

The pattern on the Concrete Foundation is extremely useful and visible from any distance you're building at.

I just go to place it on the floor to see where it aligns and i need it to be on the floor tile using the pattern as a guide and then look straight up and put it on the same spot on the ceiling tile. That usually works for me
