Railroads won't place because they're clipping with railroads?!?!?!

Seriously, I can't even make a turn without it clipping with railroads and going red. What the heck? They're supposed to clip!

you're either doing it on different elevations or making turns too sharp.

It is on a flat plane, and I am reading the notes that come up. If it was only being too sharp, that would be the only thing up. It specifically says clipping.

ye, placing rails is weird, like trying to connect a 2-rail T-intersection, the 3 ways (A,B,C) have their rails/connections in the right place, since you have the same intersection 20time already, from A to B won't work but going from B to A is good, but only if C is not yet connected.?

or "turn is too sharp" when trying to do a 180° turn, but doing it in 2 parts of 90° works for some reason...

Screenshot of the turn you're trying to make that complains about clipping? Because I've been setting up a whole load of tracks and the only things it won't let me clip through so far are the pioneer, animals, destroyable rocks, or resource chunks. It doesn't even care about buildings, let alone tracks. It'll turn yellow, but not red.

Tell me about it, It's gotten less frequent, maybe I was just a tiny bit off quilter somewhere? Hard to tell with rails, could have been a weird angle somewhere.
