Dimensional Depot
What sense does it make to make a base and collect all my materials in one place if I have Dimensional Depot ? I can put all my materials in it without having to walk from one factory to another and clearly it is no longe need for a train, I hate it

The Depot is for Personal use where as if you want to automate the production line, so logistic options such as the train still makes sense.
Also the Depot max input is 240, if you manually wanna fill all your machines from Storage containers and drag out the depot, you can but it's going to take forever

It cannot help you with Automation. You can still do it manually though. I really love the Dimensional Depot. Because it can help me with building the factory. Also, It can help me build some project parts without needing me to walk across the Biomes just to go to the Oil refinery to get a few plastic.
Pretty sure you won't be carrying thousands of parts per minute by hand all over the map later, lol.
If you hate it don't use it.
I personally wish we also had access to a Dimensional Downloader, simply because I want to be able to upload my Monster Parts, and have them be automatically downloaded into my Liquid Biofuel production :D

yeah i know what you mean. But as others said, i use it mostly for Building - and this saves a lot of lifetime - still have my main Storage (With dimensional Containers added) and i still use the trains to carry stuff from one factory to the next one in production line.

Theres Also the Main-Train Station because i love to have it there.

Only the really leftovers and done products are going to the main storage. The Dimensional Things makes things really easy yes, but the main storage is the heart of every World i start and i will never stop building it just like the trains (Wich i always prefered before the drones) to have my headquarters.

The depot is great for unlocking hard drive containers. Need 4 heat sinks to open one and don't want to slog back to base to get them? Pop open the dimensional depot and presto.
Because sometimes you need more than a couple of stacks of concrete to build a factory ?
Seriously, some items I go through more than the depot can carry.
you need to use it before commenting, I guess :)

Tip: The upload speed is max out at 240 per minute. But it never says you cannot upload the same items at another Depot.

Basically, if you think 240 items aren't fast enough. Just build another Depot and have it double or even triple the speed at another place (Or the same place if your production can keep up).

this would be super nice even if it's really slow but some small scale productions would still work

well said. this is what i do. there are enough mercer spheres for many depots. i have 2 per product. so i get 480 per min. even concrete is fine since you have 2,500 as a starting stack
