You can use them in production machines to double the yield.
For any given factory or cluster of mini factories, I put down a map marker. If a somersloop is being used there, I color the marker orange. All others are generic default white.
This way I can tell at a glance on entire map where my a) clusters of manufacturing are, and b) which have somersloops used.
If somersloops ever get so plentiful they become the new slugs (e.g. basically so many other than very early game, no point keeping track where overclock shards are used), then I may revise or stop using this system.
But atm it's handy because I run around re-using my limited supply for whatever stuff needed most.
