Getting the powered lights looking good indoors is a real art form. You can tilt the wall and flood lights. You can even get the wall lights semi up by putting on a tilted wall. Try covering bits of the light shaft up to get some nice effect. Hook up to a controller to change colour and turn down the intensity. They're naturally suited to large space. The road side lights are better for smaller spaces (but still cast quite intense harsh light), the others can cast light 30 meters or more. So if you have a ceiling light placed only 4m off the floor, yes it will only light up a small spot, but if they're 16m up they seem less out of place. And yes, you need quite a few of them, but usually have to turn down substantially to make look ok.
