Mk6 belt confirmed
So yeah, Snutt just said we're getting a 1200 PPM Mk6 belt in 1.0 :) Yeah!!! BTW, they were always gonna do this, they were just messing with us :)

We're also getting a Converter that converts one resource into another, but it comes with some limitations and requirements so it's not too overpowered.

And some other cool stuff. Watch the video.

They really are a tease. :-)

I am wondering what Easter eggs they have added to 1.0.

Excitement levels increasing.

Yeah, they are :)

But oh man, things are gonna get complex, way more complex than now, it seems. Quantum Technology...

"Ficsonium Fuel rods is the worst power source, it doesn't create any waste."
I fail to see the issue, Snutt. What is the problem here? Also, I have no idea how you correctly write "Ficsonium" but I just went with this.

Also, it seems that the Quantum stuff messed with the video. CSS, please fix.

Thanks Wolfgang, in the excitement I forgot to provide a link, duh :( Sorry!

No problem.:thhappy:

Now with my brain having processed all that information, it doesn't seem that bad. Sure, we have no clue how to do these Quantum cells or whatever they are and the teaser at the end is very interesting, but other than that it all sounds pretty doable.
Mostly interesting is that you can make Uranium in the converter. Might be worth making if the power and resource cost allows for it.
Edit: Here the moment:

Seems to be done by using Bauxite. So you have to compromise on Aluminium for that.
Here just the list:
Iron (Limestone)
Copper (Sulfur or Quarz)
Limestone (Sulfur)
Coal (Limestone or Iron)
Sulfur (Iron or Coal)
Caterium (Copper or Quarz)
Nitrogen Gas (Caterium or Bauxite)
Uranium ore (Bauxite)

Also, Plutonium Waste will be now usable. Though I never got to Nuclear in any of my saves. Partially because it's getting very complex, but also the game always got unstable for me later on, once my world grew large, and I just lost interest in pushing onward. Maybe in 1.0 I will be able to tackle Nuclear and the new stuff.

You can use uranium power, sink the pluotnium fuel rods first.
And then unlock and automate all new tech and then burn the plutonium and proces the waste into the new nuclear thing.
More factory to get unlimited power.

Yeah, but it is supposed to have some kind of downside. Since it apparently doesn't produce waste, I have no idea what it should be.
Is it producing 1MW of energy and lasts for like 1 hour?
kLuns Aug 30, 2024 @ 9:08am
There is a chance the ratio between the power demand of the factory processing the plutonium stuff and the power generated is much worse as a downside than just burning the uranium and sinking the plutonium.
Downside: more factory, upside no waste and more power. maybe not that much extra power.

But it's a lot of extra spaghetti compared to the buffed fuel generators so I think the extra spaghetti should be rewarded in some way.

Burned out on the game a few months ago and I wasn't really looking forward to go through the whole startup procedures again. But here I am, closing in on 60 and after this video I'm almost as excited as my granddaughter for her 6th birthday. At least I think she will be, because she'll only be 2 in November and has no clue about the concept of birthday... :D
Bring it on!!

Seems there may be enough changes, improvements and new stuff to reinvigorate the interest in the game. I'm also a bit burnt out, taking a break from playing until 1.0 out.

I don't think the only downside would be more factory. That is just too little to call it "the worst power source". There has to be another downside to it that we don't know yet.
kLuns Aug 30, 2024 @ 9:22am
Despite the downside it has to be better than fuel generators because they require more effort.
Else it's more rewarding to make fuel/ turbo fuel and use a quarter of the oil on the map for power.
Or stick to uranium and sink plutonium rods.
