Session ID Invalid?

Can Steam players not play with Epic players anymore? The Session ID our host is getting is like "Epic:// buncha numbers" which doesn't work.

They change it. Session ID isn't a thing now
You have to make a Epic Account link your steam account to it.
Then the host has to select Epic in the Session Type.
or the host set it for IP and they need to give their IP to you

Well, this is shame. Used to play online with no issues at all, and now can't join my friend's multiplayer session. I thought this stuff was improving with 1.0, but this is sadly a regression for me.

I should add that this is connecting to his epic hosted game using my steam version. He'd give me a code before and it'd just work.

So what is the difference between getting a code or getting his IP address? Answer NONE

Same issue, even after linking the epic account it still fails with could not resolve online session. I see others on reddit have the same issue (https://old.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/1fdkuix/is_anyone_having_multiplayer_issues/). Did anyone manage to find a workaround?

Was hoping the latest update might have sorted this issue, but still can't connect.

We were having the same problem today.

Fix is you have to have your EPIC account connected to your Steam account.
Also you MUST be friends on EPIC accounts.
